Yes — completely. SmogCheck Manager runs entirely offline on your Windows PC. You don't need Wi-Fi to create work orders, print invoices, look up customers, or view your dashboard. The only feature that requires internet is the optional SMS add-on.
SmogCheck Manager supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. It works on any modern Windows PC — the shop computer you already have is almost certainly compatible.
The app automatically backs up your entire database every day to a folder you choose. That can be a USB drive you plug in each day, an external hard drive, or a network folder. You're always in control of where your data lives — it stays on your hardware, not a cloud server.
No. Twilio is only required if you want the optional SMS & Reports add-on — daily revenue texts and customer review request messages. The core app (work orders, invoices, dashboard, customer database) works with no third-party accounts whatsoever.
Each license key activates one installation on one machine. If you need to run it on a second PC in the shop, contact us — multi-seat licensing is available. Note that because the app runs locally, data doesn't sync between machines automatically.
